During the night of 15–16 August 2026, a portion of TV and radio services on Türksat 3A was moved to newer Türksat satellites at the same 42° East orbital position. Türksat announced that the migration would take place overnight on 15–16 August 2026 and that services would move to newer satellites at the same orbital position. That detail matters: channels disappearing after the migration is not, by itself, a reason to repoint a normally working dish.
Separate a channel-list issue from a physical reception failure. If some Türksat services still work, start with TKGS or network tuning. If every service reports No Signal, also inspect the coax, LNB, DiSEqC and communal distribution.
Social posts often present 12380 MHz Vertical 27500 as the single fix. The other key network reference is 12423 MHz Horizontal 30000; both use FEC 3/4. Enable Network Search/NIT when refreshing the full list.
The pair is also useful diagnostically. If one locks and the other does not, you have information about the reception path. If neither produces quality, investigate the RF chain rather than entering random frequencies.
Türksat Channel Update System is designed to carry channel and frequency changes to compatible receivers. On a supported TV or set-top box, try the automatic update path before wiping personal settings with a full reinstall.
No TKGS option does not automatically mean a fault. The model may not support it or the manufacturer may expose it elsewhere. Standard DVB-S/S2 auto tuning with Network Search can rebuild the list.
Many TVs show two meters. Level can simply indicate RF energy at the tuner input; quality indicates a valid lock on the selected transponder. A TV can show very high level and still find zero channels when quality is zero.
Compare quality on 12380 and 12423. Universal LNBs commonly use 9750/10600 with 22 kHz Auto. DiSEqC mapping in communal systems is installation-specific; “Türksat is always 1/4” is not a universal rule.
Manufacturers use the same satellite standards through Tizen, webOS, Android TV, Google TV and proprietary interfaces, but menu structure differs. Even within one brand, a 2018 model and a 2025/2026 model can place satellite tuning under different headings.
The brand guides in this package avoid pretending that one menu fits every model. Manufacturer-specific facts are marked, and when necessary the model number should be matched with the official manual.
First define the scope: all channels gone, only a few missing, or scan returns zero? Then compare quality on 12380 V 27500 and 12423 H 30000. With quality present, continue on the channel-list side; with no quality, move to the RF path.
Only horizontal or only vertical services missing is a strong clue for 13/18 V polarization switching, connectors, LNB or multiswitch. For one missing service, scan its current transponder instead of deleting the entire list.
If 12380 V 27500 or 12423 H 30000 does not produce a result, you can also test 12422 MHz, Vertical (V), 27500, FEC 3/4 as a manual checkpoint. Türksat’s current frequency list shows 12422 V 27500 as an active Türksat 4A transponder. It is useful for checking whether the tuner can lock a valid Türksat signal and for a focused manual channel scan.
Do not treat 12422 V 27500 as the single master frequency that must rebuild the entire channel list. Türksat’s current Network Search Frequencies page lists 12423 V 27500 for Türkiye-West and 12423 H 30000 for Türkiye-East. Türksat’s antenna-setting guide also lists 12380 V 27500 as a Türksat Tanıtım reference that can be used with network search.
Recommended order: if the device supports TKGS, complete the TKGS update first. If that fails, enable Network Search / Network / NIT in the DVB-S/S2 menu and scan using the official network frequencies. If there is still no useful result, add 12422 V 27500 manually and check signal quality and whether services are found. If 12422 locks but only a limited set of channels appears, run a network scan afterwards to rebuild the wider list.
TKGS updates are delivered over the satellite signal and do not depend on an internet connection. If a TKGS-compatible TV or receiver does not update, switch to Live TV/Satellite, verify Türksat 42°E and usable signal quality, restart the device, and run TKGS Update / Automatic Update if that option is available. TKGS mode names such as Flexible, Personal or Off vary by brand and model.
Factory reset can remove Wi-Fi, picture, app and personal channel settings, while it cannot repair a bad cable or wrong DiSEqC port. Complete TKGS, both network references, Network Search and signal-quality checks first.
Some manufacturers require a reset for specific model/TKGS initial setup procedures. Use it only when the official instructions for the exact model explicitly call for it.
