The most widely used domain name extensions in the world are, in order, com, net, and org. However, registering only the .com version of the domain name you want to register may create a disadvantageous situation for your brand or website in the future. Someone else could register and use the extensions you did not register, and even if this is not intentional, it may be disturbing for your brand. To give an example of this situation, when you only register mehmetemlak.com, someone else could register mehmetemlak.net and another user could register and actively use mehmetemlak.info. Especially since generic extensions like com net org are registered on a first-come, first-served basis, you will no longer be able to claim any rights over these domain names. Therefore, when registering a domain name, if available, it is recommended to register all commonly used extensions together as a group, such as firm.com, firm.net, firm.org, firm.info.
